Freeze half of it or in quarters, even after it’s cooked, take it out and slice it as needed. You can do the same with beef, poultry and even cheeses, just buy larger and freeze it. The meats can easily be slow cooked in your crockpot for amazing flavors that are even better than the delis, not to mention much healthier without all of the preservatives.

The Chef’s choice 615 premium electric food slicer is an easy to use machine. With all of the reviews and having one myself, I can say that it is great buy for the money. The versatility and ease of use from securing large roasts to slice to the removable parts for easy cleaning is really good. You can slice everything from breads to deli meats and cheeses easily.
This using sets very nicely on your counter and the rubber bottoms keep it in place when the unit is on and being used. This is a pretty quiet unit compared to others that I have used, you can carry on a conversation when you are using this unit.
The one thing to keep in mind with this unit is that you are only going to get a thickness of about a half inch thick. This is good for most people but if you’re looking for a food slicer that gives you a thicker cut for your breads or other foods then this may not be the right one for you.
